Vacancy: Catering Assistant

Salary:           Grade 1 Point 6
Start date:    October 2019

 We currently have 2 vacancies within our busy Catering Department

POST 1 (£11,145 per annum)

Hours of work: 28.75 hours per week  
(Monday – Friday 8.45am-2.30pm with a 30 minute unpaid break each day, term time only)

 Post 2 (£4,846 per annum)

Hours of work: 12.5 hours per week  
(Monday 12.30pm-2.30pm, Wednesday 10.30am-2.30pm, Thursday 10.45am-2.30pm and Friday 10.30-2.30pm, term time only)

 Job Purpose

To support the Catering and Deputy Catering Managers in the provision of high quality, wholesome and nutritious food for students, staff, visitors and external customers in a safe and welcoming environment. The successful candidate must be willing to operate a till.  This post will be offered with a 3 month probationary period.

Vacancy: Invigilator

Salary:       Point 11  £8.19 per hour 
Hours of work: April – June and November
Responsible For: Conducting examinations in accordance with JCQ, awarding body and Flegg High Ormiston Academy instructions.  
Responsible To: Examinations Officer

 

The Academy is looking to recruit Exam Invigilators on a casual basis to participate in conducting internal and external examinations for our students.

To be successful in this role you will have good attention to detail, be flexible and an excellent time keeper. Experience is not necessary as full training will be provided 

Duties will include: 

  • Preparing the exam room to set standard
  • Admit, identify, seat and instruct candidates in the conduct of their exams
  • Distribute and collect exam papers and materials to candidates
  • Supervise candidates at all times and be vigilant throughout exams
  • Complete attendance registers
  • Deal with candidate enquiries
