Flegg High Ormiston Academy

Welcome A message from the Principal

Welcome to Flegg High Ormiston Academy

Welcome to Flegg High Ormiston Academy where we are celebrating an excellent set of GCSE results. We are proud of our hardworking students, who, supported by dedicated staff, achieved 71% 9-4 in English and mathematics (47% achieving 9-5 in English and mathematics). These results are our first as a new academy and demonstrate early evidence that our strategies to raise standards are working. However, we are on a journey to ensure that excellence is the norm and are committed to further improvements academically and more widely across the academy.

Covid-19 Information

The academy is closed, however remains open to provide childcare to the children of essential critical workers and vulnerable students. Requests to access this provision should be made the week before care is required by submitting this formAlternatively contact Mrs Kinnarney on 01493 740349 or email skinnarney@fleggoa.co.uk.

With social distancing in place the LEA needs notice to provide places on buses for those students whom would usually have them. This currently means that we have been told that we must give a full week’s working notice of those requiring places. Requests for provision with transport must be submitted by 10am on a Monday for the following week ie by 10am Monday 15th June for W/C 22nd June.  If you have any questions regarding transport please contact Mrs Spooner on 01493 749207 or email principalsoffice@fleggoa.co.uk

If you are the parent of a year 10 student and you would like them to access the year 10 provision having originally said no or that you are not sure, please email Mr Guy dguy@fleggoa.co.uk. Individual invitations are being sent out for subject sessions in the academy and your child will not be included unless you have notified us that can now attend. Please be aware that transport has only been arranged for those who told us they would use buses (and for whom LEA transport is normally provided). Normal bus times and stops are not in operation and the buses will only collect those that have been allocated spaces a week in advance.

The academy site is only open between 8am and 4pm.
