‘All shall be well’
                          St. Julian of Norwich  1342 - 1416

Julian House derives its name from St. Julian of Norwich. Her writings challenged people’s perceptions by introducing the idea of God as a loving maternal figure. Her book ‘Revelations of Divine Love’ is considered to be the earliest surviving example of an English-language book written by a woman.

Our house motto is based on a phrase St. Julian is said to have used often: ‘All shall be well’

Julian House seeks to embody the pioneering and visionary spirit of St. Julian. We face each challenge with a fresh perspective and a positive forward thinking approach. We believe that each student deserves a champion and it is this inclusive and caring ethos which enables our students to make the right choices and shine. Members of our house can expect to be listened to, supported and trusted to make the right decisions.

Social, Moral, Spiritual and Cultural:

We believe that self-awareness, resilience and the understanding of our own behaviours are all key contributors to a well-grounded and successful future. For this reason, form time gives students the opportunity to develop their social awareness, problem solve and work towards a common goal. Students are actively encouraged to participate in roles of responsibility within the academy in order to develop not only themselves, but others too.
