The book the Mysteries of Harris Burdick by Chris Van Allsburg is the picture book selected for Picture This September focus. This book has a beautiful set of images stimulating imagination. The illustrations are tantalizing stimulus, the captions inspire imagination. One sentence title and one sentence caption provoke thoughts and ideas.
We invite students to select one of the images/pictures and write a story based upon the illustration. OR create your own image/picture in the same style with what happened next? It could be a series of pictures, like a graphic novel to tell the story.
The closing date for the competition is 6th October.
